Future Submarines SEA 1000 Industry Briefing
ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) has much pleasure in inviting you to attend a facilitated industry briefing to discuss the TKMS approach to Australian Industry Involvement for the Future Submarine SEA 1000 Project.
ThyssenKrupp Group (TK) comprises 2200 production sites and has a turnover of Euro 41 billion with 160,000 employees worldwide.
ThyssenKrupp has been in Australia since 1865 and employ close to a thousand Australians and understands the country, industrial culture and the people.
A subsidiary company, TKMS, is based in Kiel, Germany, and is a leading global designer and builder of conventional submarine and surface combatants.
TKMS is responding to the Commonwealths Competitive Evaluation Process for SEA 1000.
Submarines are an essential component of Australia’s naval capability and TKMS is committed to maximising Australian industry involvement in the design, build and sustainment of these vessels.
A strong and cohesive engineering, components and services supply chain is vital in establishing a sovereign and self reliant Future Submarine capability for Australia.
This is an opportunity for regional companies to be informed on the TKMS approach to establish this extensive supply chain and our objectives for aII.
TKMS are seeking a comprehensive understanding of existing companies in the region and the associated capabilities and technologies in the Agri, Mining, and other industry sectors within your region that may be applicable for the SEA 1000 project or as a possible supplier into the greater ThyssenKrupp Global Supply Chain.
TKMS have an obligation and need to inform and advise Australian industry and that doesn’t just mean city based companies nor only companies that currently supply into the defence sector.
These briefings are a continuance of the TKMS engagement with regional Australian industry.
