Relish Food and Wine sessions that are sure to delight
Relish Food and Wine Festival is just around the corner and this year’s special event sessions are selling out fast. With tickets for the second incarnation of the Relish Long Lunch exhausted, event organisers are encouraging the public to get in quick to secure tickets for the 2016 side events. Here’s an idea on the sessions on offer…
MASTERCLASS: Treat yourself to this year’s masterclass with local favourite Vintner’s Secret. Be stepped through a selection of award winning wines, accompanied by cheese and antipasto platters provided by Fraser Coast Catering. To top the experience off, you will be seated on the Portside Deck, overlooking the stunning Mary River (a hard view to beat!).
FOOD AND WINE MATCHING: Muddy Waters Café has partnered with Hill of Promise to deliver you the perfect food and wine matching session in 2016. Mouth-watering canapés from talented local chef Michael Cox are paired with a range of delicious wines. This session will send the tastebuds into overdrive!
FOOD AND BEER MATCHING: Craft beer starts here and so should you! Back by popular demand, The Yenda Sessions will take you through their range of pale ales, IPA, Golden Red and Hell Beers. Complimented by a selection of platters presented by Gavin Chin of the Federal Hotel Maryborough, this session is not to be missed.
BUBBLES ON THE BOAT: Take a different view of the festival this year and jump aboard Amaroo Adventure Cruises for Bubbles on the Boat. A local sparkling drop will be matched with delicious cheese platters for an experience not to be missed.
TIPPLES AND TALES: The Maryborough Bond Store is hosting a tantalisingly sweet experience presented by Jason Kinsella of Moffatdale Ridge. Sample a range of ports and liqueurs, and delicious desserts inspired by regional flavours. This historic setting will include tales of the Bond Store’s important role in the thirsty days of early settlement.
